Meet Gemma the Giraffe 🦒
When we ordered our new Nifty HR28, we knew one thing...
It wasn't going to stay green for long.
After all, this isn't just another access platform. It's the Island's Largest Self-Propelled Hybrid Boom access platform, with an impressive 28-metre working height and a massive 19-metre horizontal outreach.
So, as we looked at it sitting in the yard, one of us said...
"It looks a bit like a giraffe."
The more we thought about it, the more it made sense.
A giraffe is famous for its incredible height and long neck. Our new HR28 is built to reach places that most machines simply can't, stretching up to 28 metres into the air and reaching out an incredible 19 metres horizontally.
So we wrapped it as a giraffe, gave it a name, and Gemma was born.
No focus groups. No complicated marketing plan.
Just a bit of fun.
Let's face it, construction equipment doesn't always have to look the same. If we can make people smile while still providing first-class equipment, why wouldn't we?
Will Gemma bring us more enquiries? Maybe.
Will she get people talking, make children point and smile as sh
e drives past, or have people saying, "Have you seen the giraffe working over there?" We certainly hope so.
And if she encourages someone who's never thought twice about access equipment to take an interest in our industry, that's even better.
Of course, beneath the giraffe print is a seriously capable machine.
Gemma's vital statistics

We're proud of the equipment we supply, but we're also proud to show a bit of personality along the way. Professional doesn't have to mean boring.
So, if you spot a giant giraffe towering above a job site somewhere around the island...
Don't worry.
It's just Gemma, stretching her neck.
