In April 2025, Jersey Business released the "Better Business Grants".
The Better Business Grant offers up to 50% matched grant funding for eligible businesses to support various initiatives aimed at improving productivity and skills. With a total of £5.3 million available, this is a fantastic opportunity for Jersey businesses to invest in their future.
There are 4 main grants available
- Productivity Grants
- Visitor Economy Development Grants
- Skills Grants
- Apprenticeship Grants
Skills, Productivity and Visitor Economy Development grants are all available as:
- Major Grants: £5,000 to £75,000 for businesses operating for 18+ months.
- Minor Grants: £1,000 to £5,000 for businesses operating for 6+ months.
Skills development initiatives = Enhance technical, business, digital and leadership skills, leading to improvement in:
- Process efficiency
- Cost reduction
- Sales and/or profit
Many organisations, could consider up-skilling their people to make the best use of the equipment they could hire to make them more efficient, reduce the labour time for the task, increase the charge out rate, offer more services and increase the profitability of their business.
