New Multiphase ADS Portable Traffic Lights
As part of our continued reinvestment program, we have replaced our Portable Traffic Signals to the most modern and advanced system available.
The new Multiphase Adaptive Detection System uses advanced deep learning algorithms and a high-precision radar detector to automatically adjust green times, accurately interpreting traffic volume and speed for optimal flow management.
Multiphase ADS connects a high-precision radar detector, which gathers real-time data on traffic volumes and speeds at the roadside, to temporary traffic lights. This data is then analysed by a sophisticated algorithm that dynamically adjusts green times to optimise traffic flow.
The busier the road, the more valuable this unique technology becomes, including taking in factors for site-specific conditions like HGV lag.
Multiphase ADS is particularly effective in managing tidal traffic flow, reducing congestion for vehicles moving in one direction. As peak traffic subsides, the system adapts green times to reflect quieter conditions, ensuring smooth, efficient traffic management.
Trained personal can use these for 2, 3 or 4 way junctions, with multi heads per phase options.
